The Edmonton Riverhawks Community Foundation inspires and uplifts Edmonton’s youth by fostering access to sports and leadership activities
Sports have an incredible power to teach young athletes more than just the skills to play the game. They can help shape and instill important values of perseverance, fair play and self-confidence that can last a lifetime.
Our foundation works to reduce barriers to participation in sports, ensuring all youth, regardless of background, can experience the joy and growth that sports provide. Through our donors and contributors, we support promising individuals and organizations that promote leadership, mental wellness, discipline and community connection.
When you support the Edmonton Riverhawks Community Foundation, you help the leaders of tomorrow take the field.

STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY THROUGH SPORT GRANT
The Edmonton Riverhawks Community Foundation is pleased to announce our 2025 strengthening community through sport grant recipients.
Each year, the Riverhawks Community Foundation grants a few organizations that provide opportunity, leadership and mentorship through sport to Edmonton’s youth. This grant has been made available by the generosity of baseball fans through a game-day 50/50 and money raised at the Field of Dreams Festival.
What does access to sport look like? For organizations like Sport Central, Mary Burlie Park, SWEMBA and South Jasper Minor Baseball Association, it can mean different things — new equipment, removing financial barriers, opportunity for growth, mentorship and skills building. The Riverhawks Community Foundation is proud to support these great programs so kids in Edmonton can experience all the benefits that sports provide.
